UNRISD hosts international conferences and special events, many of which are open to the public. Workshops are also organized by the Institute in order to promote exchange among members of our project research teams.

UNRISD supports the Panel Parity Pledge of the International Geneva Gender Champions initiative, aiming to have equal numbers of women and men speaking on its panels. UNRISD Director Paul Ladd is a Gender Champion.

UNRISD is co-hosting a workshop at the 2020 edition of the SDGs Learning, Training & Practice—a series of capacity building and knowledge workshops held at the High-Level Political Forum, the official body for follow-up on achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshops feature speakers and experts from academia and other sectors on crucial topics related to the implementation of the SDGs under review in 2020.

UNRISD Bonn Office Launch

UNRISD recently joined the UN family in Bonn, and the official office launch event will be held at the Old Town Hall of the City of Bonn on 6 February 2020, hosted by the Mayor of Bonn and the Liaison Office of the Federal Foreign Office to the UN Campus Bonn. The event will be an occasion to introduce UNRISD, make new contacts and begin to explore opportunities for collaboration.
